friends of kayzar

Dear Parents,

Friends of Kayzar is always seeking new members in order to be able to continue to support our children's dance school, and this page explains what's involved and gives you the opportunity to find out more.

what is friends of kayzar?

Friends of Kayzar is a voluntary group with the main objective of developing relationships between staff and parents, encouraging activities which support the school, providing assistance to the school.

what does that mean?

A key activity is clearly to raise funds for the school, but this is not seen as the most important activity. Most of the time spent by members of Friends of Kayzar is organising events which allow the students (and parents) to socialise with each other and build relationships outside of their dance classes. Without Friends of Kayzar there would be no Fete, no discos, no Christmas Bazaar, and we all know how much our children enjoy these events.

Not all events are planned to raise funds, some are designed purely to promote social interaction.

what's involved?

Friends of Kayzar meet about once a month to discuss the organisation of events. Outside of meetings, organising events takes time, marketing literature needs developing, external stall holders need contacting, posters need erecting. Friends of Kayzar members also share the tasks at events. Even if you only have some spare time available you can help!

what's in it for me?

It's fun, you get to input ideas into the event held, you meet people, you do have to spend some time and yes it can be a thankless task sometimes, but it is fulfilling (honest!).
