SENIOR dance classes
AGES 12-16 YEARS ~ SCHOOL YEARS 7 TO 11
Senior Classes enable dancers to develop their talents further in order to achieve their full potential. Dancers concentrate on specific areas of dance and work towards national accreditation, if desired.
Students will work towards performing in front of large audiences using the skills and confidence they have developed. A great way to make friends, get active, improve motivation and have fun!

A
lively, fun class combining moves from jazz, breakdance, commercial and
hip hop styles. Dancers will learn all the hottest new moves to the
latest tunes!
Body
popping is a popular form of streetdance that grew out of the funk
tradition of the 70’s. Many beginner street dancers learn popping for
its playful nature and its ability to impress and entertain an
audience. The dancer tenses his or her muscles to create a sudden jerk
in either the upper, lower, or entire body. When performed in
succession, these ‘jerks’ can create the illusion of stunted animation,
making the dancer look like a robot or a cartoon character.
Danced
to the music genre of the same name, House is a freestyle dance where
music controls your body above everything else. Based on footwork, with
jacking as the core; House draws influences from dances like Capoeira
and Tap to create a fun and energetic dance that anyone will enjoy.
Musical
Theatre is an excellent way for students to develop confidence and
social skills. All students will learn to express themselves through
short drama sketches. Classes include drama games, script work,
movement and improvisation.
